Half Day  Nairobi Excursion to Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre

Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage was started more than 40 years ago by Daphne Sheldrick.  Daphne Sheldrick started it in  honour of her late husband David Sheldrick solely to take care of orphaned elephants and rhinos.  The animals are then released to the wild. The Orphanage is ideal for a Half Day Nairobi Excursion.

The Tour

Take the Half Day Nairobi Excursion to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and watch the baby elephants being fed on giant baby bottles.   It is also fun to watch them frolic in the mud.

Proceed to the Giraffe Centre hosted at the Manor, about 18 mins drive away.  Watch the graceful animals at the Giraffe Manor.  You may get an opportunity to feed them with special pellet biscuits from a raised platform.  Kids usually get  so much fun  feeding the graceful long necked animals.
